Trade disputes between EU and USA in the WTO

The European Union and the United States of America are the world's largest trading partners, not only among themselves but also with other states. Due to the increasing volume of their mutual trade, the number of disputes that arise between these business partners is growing, and that is why the question of regulating bilateral trade relations between the EU and the US is becoming more and more sensitive. This paper provides an overview of trade disputes between the European Union and the United States of America and a mechanism for their solution at the World Trade Organization to assess the possibility of adopting preventive measures that could prevent the future emergence of trade conflicts or facilitate settlement of disputed controversial situations.

The aim of the work was to describe transparently the development of GATT and first of all WTO. The comlexity and topicality was stressed as well as the influence on Czechoslovakia or the Czech republic now. The work is organized chronologically exept for the last part which is dedicated directly to the position of the domestic economy in the purview of international business. There was the highest effort to bring balanced information and to picture consenqunces they cause for international business GATT and WTO.

Bachelor thesis Common Trade Policy of European Union with emphasis on relations with The Common Market of the South {--} MERCOSUR is split into six chapters. First three chapters consist of theoretical part that describe function of the World Trade Organization, Common Trade Policy of European Community and contract arrangement with chosen countries or integration arrangements. Center of this work is based on characteristic of origin and evolution of MERCOSUR including description of its institutional structure. Special emphasis is given on analysis of evolution of trade relations between European Union and MERCOSUR and common trade structure. A summary in Spanish and a trilingual glossary are included.

Význam a výsledky jednání ministerských konferencí WTO

Cílem práce je demonstrovat výsledky jednání vrcholného orgánu WTO, zhodnotit dopady na světovou ekonomiku a tím podpořit smysluplnost WTO. Nejdříve jsou popsány historické souvislosti vzniku WTO, tedy vývoj GATT. Dále se práce věnuje WTO, jejímu fungování, cílům, organizační struktuře, principům a struktuře dohod. Poslední část je zaměřena na vývoj jednání v rámci ministerských konferencí.
